ABOUT Barry McCullough the person aka TINY FROG WEB DESIGN
In 1977 Barry McCullough opened his first Commercial Photography and Graphic Design studio in Bristol, England. After three intensive years working mostly freelance for some of the top advertising agencies in the UK he returned to Ireland. He took a year off from the commercial world and taught in the Crawford Art College, Cork.
In 1980 he opened what was to become the largest most innovative Commercial Photography and Graphic Design Studios in Ireland, working with all sizes of companies but more and more with major corporations. During the ensuing 20 years plus he expanded his company substantially including building a three story Commercial Studio complex on his farm in Blarney. He and his staff added web design and development technologies into their portfolio of client services from around the time the internet first started. That was back in the early 1990's.
Around 2000 Barry no longer wished to work with the corporate world so he made a number of major 'quality of life' decisions. Over a twelve month period he greatly simplified his business and private life. As a result around the start of the new millenium, he wrote and had his first business novel published by Collins Press. With the title of 'Stop - Break Free from the Tyranny of the Urgent!' It received considerable media coverage and resulted in Barry travelling extensively as a Business and Marketing Consultant to South Korea, Italy and the U.K. for a number of years.
He then took time out from his consultancy practice and travelled extensively in Peru and other South American countries. Now back and living in West Cork, he divides his time between working as an artist and working on smaller more interesting web site projects, hence Tiny Frog Web Design. He finds working with small businesses, individuals and organisations to be much more satisfying than the surreal 'pressure cooker' world of the corporate giants.
He also is involved in a new communication project developing innovative new ways eco tourism, carefully managed, can help both the environment and indigenous people in the Peruvian Amazon.
